The Blackbird's Wing.

A bee hovers
humming quietly
as it flirts with a rose.

I sit,
patient,
waiting
to hear the swallow sing
and see the dappled sunlight on a blackbird's wing.

    We saw the first swallow here in March rather early even for Cornwall but a delightful sight and sound whatever the date. I look forward to hearing that you see/hear one soon.
